Morning Gentle Flow - Vinyasa Yoga Class
Morning Gentle Flow - Vinyasa Yoga Class
Class Description: Gentle, Suitable for Beginners, Level 1-2, Vinyasa Flow Yoga Wednesday, 9 am - 10 am (55 min)
A gentle and fluid yoga class to start your day with! This class is a slower version of a regular Vinyasa yoga class. A fun-filled class, perfect for the beginner to those with more experience who would like the extra space to deepen familiar postures.
Focus is on movement with breath, alignment and balance. You will move from pose to pose at a slower pace to build flexibility, strength and breath-movement connection, while occasionally pausing to investigate the structural breakdown of poses.
~ IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL LEARN ~
The key elements of Vinyasa yoga; breath flow, key poses of Vinyasa, correct alignment. The practice involves synchronizing the breath and movement through a continuous flow of postures, and fluid, dance-like sequences that increases strength, flexibility, and stamina and calm the mind.
THE BEAUTY OF VINYASA YOGA
Vinyasa yoga is likened to a beautiful moving meditation. Constant awareness of the breath while moving through the poses increases focus and calms the mind. The ability to flow through challenges experienced during a class often leads to a greater ability to flow through life’s challenges with better focus and less stress, and confront the bombardment of home, family, work, and friends with a deeper sense of joy and calmness.
The continuous, steady flow of movements generates internal heat, which helps to detoxify the body and opens the pathways to healing. Vinyasa is a faster-paced, more fitness style of yoga that builds strength, increases bone density, improves cardiovascular and respiratory health, reduces stress, and improves sleep.

Do I have to be flexible to practice yoga?
You don’t need to be flexible to practice yoga just as you don’t have to be muscular to go to the gym. It is the practice of yoga itself that helps you build flexibility and strength. Rest assured, it’s not a prerequisite. Come as you are!
Can I practice yoga if I have a medical condition?
If you have medical clearance from your doctor for a current medical condition, then you can go ahead and practice yoga. Otherwise, we suggest you consult your doctor first. That said, many students with injuries, back problems, hypertension, asthma, etc find relief in their yoga practice. Make sure you inform your teacher of any medical condition you have so personalized instructions may be given to you.
If I arrive late, will I be able to take the class?
Things happen unpredictably, so we do allow a grace period of 5 minutes. After that, we close the doors to minimize distraction for those already in the class and to keep the practice safe for you! We suggest taking the next class instead so you start with a calm and collected mind.
